Following the success of the previous episodes of the series with the renowned educator Melanie Spanswick, cutting-edge composer Gabriel Prokofiev (and to answer many of your questions, yes, he is a grandson of Sergei Prokofiev!) and charismatic broadcaster, actress and vlogger Jo Good, it gives me a great pleasure and honour to present you the interview with the eminent Erica Worth, the editor of the most popular piano magazine in the UK, Pianist Magazine!
For everyone who visits our Piano-Yoga website, Pianist Magazine needs no introduction. It's a contemporary bible for the modern pianist of today. However do you know who stands behind this wonderful publication? All I knew from reading the magazine is that whoever makes this magazine work, knows almost everything about the piano and loves it to bits! Not only the latest news, events and hot piano artists of today are featured there, but the magazine also provides excellent professional advice on piano technique, piano lessons and even publishes some piano music scores for you to enjoy every month! (40 pages of sheet music within each edition, it's serious stuff to get though in just 30 days!)
I was always very curious to meet the mastermind behind this remarkable publication and... here she is: Erica, so busy with her work, nevertheless kindly agreed to give us her time and to share not only stories from her personal life and what drove her to become the editor of the Pianist Magazine, but also to give tips on how to improve your piano playing during the quarantine.
