GéNIA Releases ‘Back to Basics’ Video Series

In this brand-new, five-video series, GéNIA covers the essentials of piano playing, with each video dedicated to a certain technique. GéNIA discusses several topics, from creating a beautiful legato to playing even scales. She also gives advice on executing trills and other ornaments as well as perfecting octaves.

GéNIA believes that it is critical to teach proper technique from the very beginning and that anatomical alignment can improve our playing immensely. This philosophy inspired her to film this mini-series.

In addition to covering physical technique, GéNIA filmed two videos focused on a more holistic approach to music making. In ‘Practice Imitates Life,’ GéNIA describes how we can change our playing by tuning inwards. In another video, GéNIA gives her ‘TCP Magic Formula’ to enable you to perform at your highest level.
