Can You Calm Your Mind Before You Practise?

Dear Piano-Yogi,
Have you ever found yourself finally having the time to practise or do something important, only to discover that your mind simply won’t cooperate, and you are not able to calm your mind?
You sit down, ready to begin, but your thoughts are everywhere. Your concentration isn’t where you want it to be. One thought leads to another, and before you know it, your focus has disappeared.
This is something many of us experience, and in today’s fast-paced world, it is becoming increasingly common.
This is exactly why I created the new Piano-Yoga® Meditations.
This growing collection of guided meditations has been designed for different situations and different needs. Whether you want to improve concentration, reduce tension, develop confidence or simply arrive at the piano feeling calmer and more focused, there will be a meditation to support you.
I recommend listening to these meditations regularly, ideally every day, as their benefits can deepen with repetition. Over time, you may find it easier to settle your mind, focus your attention and prepare yourself for practice.
To make this as accessible as possible, the collection is available for just £1 per month. I wanted to keep the cost very low so that as many people as possible can enjoy and benefit from it.
All introductions are available to listen to free of charge, allowing you to understand the purpose of each meditation and choose the one that is most suitable for you.
Although these meditations were created with musicians in mind, they can be equally valuable for anyone wishing to improve concentration, mental clarity and general wellbeing. The ability to focus the mind is useful in every area of life, not only in music.
New meditations will be added gradually, creating an expanding collection for different situations and purposes.
I hope you enjoy this new Piano-Yoga® resource, and I would be delighted to hear about your experience.
Namaste,
GéNIA
