1. Introduction to Piano-Yoga® and Practising the Fundamental Principles of the Method

An introduction to the philosophy behind Piano-Yoga®, followed by practical demonstrations and guided exercises that introduce the fundamental principles of the method.

 

2. Piano-Yoga® Method: Learning Stages One & Two

Learn and practise the first two stages of the Piano-Yoga® method, focusing on developing greater finger strength, flexibility, hand span and physical freedom at the piano.

 

3.Technique Lab & Masterclass

Join internationally acclaimed concert pianist, composer and Piano-Yoga® founder GéNIA, in collaboration with Pianist Magazine and Steinway & Sons, for a special one-hour introductory workshop at the prestigious Steinway Hall in the heart of central London.

This interactive session will provide an overview of the core principles of Piano-Yoga®, a unique method that combines the wisdom of classical piano pedagogy with elements of yoga, body awareness and efficient practice techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a variety of practical exercises, discover new approaches to freedom at the piano, and ask GéNIA questions about technique, practice, performance and wellbeing.

 

Whether you are a professional pianist, student, teacher or enthusiastic amateur, this workshop offers a valuable introduction to a method that has helped pianists worldwide play with greater ease, confidence and enjoyment.
